Harbaugh flying to Minneapolis Wednesday to interview per Tom Pelissero. Let's get this done

I'd love nothing more then to see him in his khakis kicking Poles ass all over the north for the next decade

I'm very on board with this too. It's been weird. This board and also the media have kind of been downplaying Harbaugh-to-MIN this whole time, despite mounting evidence that it might be happening. It reminds me of being on PT when the Favre-to-MIN rumors and news were going wild. The smoke was absolutely billowing and there were still so many Vikings fans burying their heads in the sand and saying it'd never happen. I'm not saying Harbaugh is a done deal but right now he feels like the front-runner for sure, IMO. And that's not what the narrative is at all. Kind of odd.

Jim's also by far the most qualified candidate, if that matters to anyone.

If most qualified also means most talented, then yes, I'm all for it.

The narrative is what it is because of the obvious downside to a Harbaugh hire. I don't think anyone is unaware of how qualified he is. That said, no hire comes without a degree of downside.

I think the interview tomorrow will be mostly about coming to an agreement on personnel decisions, roles, responsibilities and whether or not Harbaugh shares KAM's cultural vision. If all that's good, he'll likely be the guy. Because I don't see money being an issue.

Biggest fear is Harbaugh leaving in a couple years while O'Connell gets hired elsewhere and goes on to become the next Shanahan or McVay.

According to Bacon, he believes if the Vikings give Harbaugh any kind of offer tomorrow he's likely to take it. Dolphins aren't even in the conversation. It's the Vikings job or back to Michigan for Harbaugh.

Makes sense...

I dont think the Vikings are a hire tomorrow mode, but stranger things have happened with this franchise over the years.
