NY and LA mayors stating they may ban concerts or sporting events until 2021.
I saw that. The rest of this year could be very, very different and difficult.
(CNN) Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said Wednesday it "would be very difficult to see" large gatherings like sporting events or concerts resuming in the city before 2021 as the US grapples with mitigating Covid-19.
"It's difficult to imagine us getting together in the thousands anytime soon, so I think we should be prepared for that this year," Garcetti told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room."

"I think we all have never wanted science to work so quickly," he continued. "But until there's either a vaccine, some sort of pharmaceutical intervention, or herd immunity, the science is the science. And public health officials have made very clear we have miles and miles to walk before we can be back in those environments."

Minimally everyone will be wearing a mask. NY just announced it as mandatory in public. Probably the right thing with unknown level of herd immunity and no proven/approved for broad use therapeutics yet.

Who knows more on viruses?

Halting funding for the World Health Organization during a world health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds. Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs
@WHO now more than ever.
Frankly I dont know how much the WHO is helping to thwart the Pandemic or not?  How much does Pete Townsend really know about science?

Cutting funding in the middle of a pandemic? Doesn't feel like the right thing to be doing. Is it putting people at risk? I don't know...Maybe it is, maybe it isn't?

Rather than attempt to try and fix what might be ailing? Just pull the funds? Regardless, this looks feels and smells like a deflection game.

Lastly, The WHO, Governors, The Feds, Congress, CDC, HHS, Europe - all need to take a step back and learn from this. It's not going to be the last time a virus crosses from one mammal to another.

Man the picture of Daltrey, creeps me out.  Makes me think of the scary waitress at some remote all-night diner.

More than 639,664 people have tested positive in the US with at least 30,985 deaths linked to the virus, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

About 15% of those deaths -- 4,811 -- were reported Wednesday alone.

It's unclear whether the latest death toll includes probable cases. Federal health officials have said they'll start including probable cases, which meet clinical criteria for symptoms and evidence of Covid-19 -- but with no lab test confirming the disease.

I think the death counts are going to be so skewed from reports that I have read it sounds like unless you get hit by a truck and drug to your death its going to be attributed to Covid.  I dont see what it really matters at this point,  its a bad bug and no matter how many it does or doesnt kill the results are the same.  It needs to be taken seriously and massive efforts need to be taken to produce a anti-virus asap!
