His last season playing
12 games on a shit SF team
90 QBR, 16 TDs (plus 2 running) 4 INTs
the man can throw it. he can run it. and he changes the game when on the field.
there are so many positives avout this one from all angles. he can take a low paying deal to prove it. he joins a SB caliber roster. if he ends up playing and playing well, he is the biggest story in football.
For the team. A new breathe of fresh air. The locker room is one bad KC performance from a mutiny regardless.
His arm under Kubiak (who was the last real NFL mind who wanted to take a shot on him) could be dangerous with our WRs and TEs. His running ability would be a major boost over what we have now with this porous OL. Our running attack with the threat of him keeping the handoff would create even more opportunities as 8 in the box would be spread wide.
i see a lot of “I wish we had Case’s ability to keep a play going” or “we should have drafted Lamar Jackson” well this guy can be both.
now for the elephant in the room. The Vikings would be lauded for bringing him on. He has actually donated $25,000 to MSPS urban food programs. The progressive TC and leaning center left Minnesota would make the most sense for him. The NFL
and its partnership with Jay Z would fit nicely from a social angle. Listen i dont care about most of the social points, but what I know is this, the NFL is a business and its better for your team to be on the right side of the money making arm of the shield than against it.
Kaepernick coming in and revitalizing this offense, turning us back into legit threats to win the Super Bowl would be the biggest story in the NFL and maybe sports this year. Think about it.
Worst case, you sign him. Kirk sucks, Kaep plays and sucks. You move on from both in the near future. Shows that you are trying to win regardless of mistakes you previously made which is all fans can ask for.
