Then his confidence and will to succeed probably declined over time. That's a lot of pressure and spotlight for someone in their young 20's. 

He looked like a man among boys in college and before that leg injury. 

What a shame. Hate to see someone flame-out. One last chance here in MN, we'll see if he makes the final 53 in September. That's far from a sure thing. 
Sounds like he had also never really worked on his craft.  I remember after his rookie year he was saying how he needed to work on his routes, as that was something that he had never focused on before.  Even during this past season, I remember him and Rudy getting into it on the field because Treadwell ran the wrong route.

To me, he doesn't seem like the brightest bulb in the shed, as I remember he would have a terrible practice, and instead of working on catching the ball, or working on his routes, he would stay late after practice and run the steps, as if conditioning was the main issue that he needed to work on.
