Clearly, the plan wasn't to trade those picks for Turner although that ended up being the result.
Yes, that was maybe the plan, but they coukd have traded back down from 23 to recoup those lost picks, not added more to the stack to get a guy that was a developmental prospect. You dont get to 17 without first getting to 23, so the cost that was previously suggested is simply not true.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
