The college landscape has been just one earthquake after another. Was so sleepy for so long too.
$$$ is a powerful thing and needed more than ever to compete...The private equity piece gives me pause as well.

I think the college football platform will change for the good soon enough. It will turn into professional sports in a way. We will have two conferences if you will. The SEC and Big 10. Which the names will change. How that will look is yet to be determined. I see the vision that I feel college is going to. I think its all the plan. Why schools like Texas and OU went to the big conference. The tournament will then be split up with both conferences divided in the playoff. With two teams from each conference playing for rights to the best in college football. Kinda like the NFL wouldn't ya say?
.... "But hey, it's all about the kids"....
I heard a stat on real sports that stuck in my head. Total amount of dollars paid out to coaches in all NCAA division 1 sports who were fired during the c 2022 calendar year = 247 million dollars. 32 NFL teams 136 division 1 football schools in 50? Years maybe the NCAA is gonna overtake NFL in revenue, maybe? |
