Waynes a whiff? Whiffs don't get $42M contracts.
He was taken high (11) and maybe hasn't quite lived up to his draft slot yet, but Winston (1), Mariota (2), Kevin White (7), Vic Beasley (8) and Danny Shelton (12) were much bigger whiffs at the top of that draft. He's one of the few taken in the top 12 that year who got a 5th year option. The 5th year option is sort of what divides the hits from the misses.
