No way the Vikes could use the 5th year option, but it will be interesting to see how this money changes if he stays healthy in '21.

Yep, certainly a prove it year for him. I hope he stays healthy and plays the way he did his rookie year before his season was cut short.

I haven't seen Hughes make very many nice plays since his pick 6 his rookie year against the 49ers.  I'm not going to say "Bust", but I'm not sure I'd argue if someone else did.

How many 1st 2nd round CB's have the Vikes whiffed on. Zim is the great CB whisperer? Come on man!

Careful!! This board is about telling each other that everything is perfect on this team.

The answer to your question about how many high-round CBs Zimmer has failed to develop? "Not enough yet." Or, "At least one more this year".

Dunno, can't think of any.

Waynes was part of some very good backfields and went on to get a big contract.  Rhodes (not drafted by Zim) had some pretty great years including one as the top CB in coverage.  Mac took some time to develop, but was pretty solid and left for a sizable contract.  Hughes has played well except for the injuries.

I have to largely agree with Greed.  The only point I would make is that they overdrafted certain players because Zim values them that much.  Waynes and Hughes both were drafted too early.  Otherwise, I can't call them whiffs.
