I think that this in one of those topics that COULD have been civil and informative. People keep talking about the 'REAL' root to things like school shootings... yet they never seem to do anything about it. I think that this is ESPECIALLY true for those who are adamant that it's not the gun's fault. You're right... it's people who are making this world so dark and uncomfortable for so many. THAT'S what (helps?) create these kinds of tragedies. Yet here we are are again: making someone else "the enemy" because they don't agree with us.
I'm trying not to do that anymore- but I'm sure I will fail. And when I do, I invite correction- because even though I'm certainly going to disagree with folks on things (I'm as "black-and-white" as they come), I do not want to (intentionally) disrespect anyone or paint them as anything less that a beloved creation, made in the image of a beautiful Creator.
