Is this a big deal?   Will people really want to tailgate in the hot  August sun?  Typically I want to get somewhere with AC or at least out of the sun and crowds for a few hours.
Some people tailgate when it's freezing, I don't see why they wouldn't want to tailgate when it's hot out. People have been going to training camp for years and sitting out in the hot August sun. Guess we'll have to wait and see how this works out.
And between sessions we go some place cool.  Not stand over a grill in an asphalt parking lot.  Or maybe some will enjoy it.  Sounds to me like a cash register ringing and not so much about doing something for the fans.
It's a given that money is a factor. That's smart business to maximize the dollars coming in. It will be interesting to see what the fans do with this.
Oh good,  the Disneyland business model.  Shove the bullshit down the attendees throat and make sure that no opportunity to profit is over looked.

Lol. This is going to be like training camp on steroids though. The possibilities are endless. I look at the development going on around there, you can't help but see dollar signs. There camping available in Eagan though.

Much larger potential population pull for fans to attend in Eagan than driving out to Mankato.

I don't think fan attendance was a big issue in kato either,  at least not the times I was there.  First time I was there was a morning session in the middle of the week and it was standing room only.

The place isn't that big that it will hold a bigger crowd is it?  I was thinking it would be about the same from the original stories.
