Where Colin Was Wrong/Tomlin

My exact sentiments Jimmy! NFL fans don’t remember who lost the SB any given year, they remember the winners….unless you’re a Vikings fan worried about that record setting 5th loss and I am one of those fans…

I think the Steelers probably need to look at things more from a roster construction side of things than a coaching side of things. As a casual AFC observer, outside of Wilson, I can't really name anybody on their team. Like who was their last impact draft pick and how long ago was it?

I guess some of that is on the coach for not coaching them up, but I'd probably be looking to replace the GM first.

the steelers are in the purgatory of always being good enough to never be in a slot for the blue chippers, but its not just the first round that you miss out, you are missing out on those better players in every round, sure you get lucky and find a gem here or there, but the longer you play in the picking in the 20s game, unless you have a franchise full of selfless players willing to play below market money, your overall quality of player average seems to drop over time until you blow it up and reset over the course of a few years of weaker results and better drafting and use of cap.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

I point this out, sometimes, as well as him inheriting a recent championship team and simply managing not to burn all the way down.

I'm assured that I'm just wrong about him, somehow. We'd be lucky to have him, he's better than last season showed, etc etc etc.

If he'd gotten the HC job in Cleveland instead, I don't imagine similar success.
Wait, we failed to protect our QB in big games, again?

MAYBE THERE'S A LESSON HERE.

TJ Watt. And he's 30. Since then, their top picks have been Devin Bush (bust), Terrell Edmunds (bust), Chase Claypool (bust), Najee Harris (mild bust), Kenny Pickett (bust) and George Pickens (talented fuck-up).

Jimmy Johnson's brilliant idea is for Dallas and Pittsburgh to swap coaches. “I’ve got no inside information but things are stale in Pittsburgh. Things are stale in Dallas...and just, food for thought, how about a coaching swap. Mike McCarthy’s a Pittsburgh guy. Let him to go to Pittsburgh, let Mike Tomlin go to Dallas, both franchises would be excited."

If the idea of changing coaches is just to change coaches then Jimmy Johnson has stumbled onto brilliance. Just not sure that's the idea.

Steelers of today are very reminiscent of Vikings from about 2020-2021.
