KOC Coach of the Year?

(08-06-2024, 12:54 AM)RS_Express Wrote: Not a chance.  When KOC dragged Kirk and co. to 13-4 in 2022 he barely got a mention for COY.  I guarantee you, if the Vikings and Bears finish with the same record, all the COY hype will go to Eberflus. Also if Daniels shows up for the Commanders the media will be drooling all over their coach.

My sense is that the reason for zero recognition that year was because he was basically a rookie head coach.  Had he been in the saddle for a couple-three years, he would have been on more people's radar.  Let's just put together a good team and win more than we lose, and the post-season awards will take care of themselves.

I had read the article earlier this morning and my thought was "cart, meet horse"

He is a lousy playcaller and lousy game manager. To get COTY he'd need to hire an OC and function as a CEO motivator coach which is his best attribute. Guy needs to get out of his own way on game day.
