We're going on almost 4 years since the Covid s hit the fan.

IT'll stay back-burnered unless the damn thing morphs into something more down the road.
Like an election in 2024...we're going to need lockdowns to justify taking some "shortcuts" on ballot harvesting, ballot authentication, ballot certification and ballot assistance.  Need to keep people safe you know...

One of my best friend's elderly mother is in a care facility.  She's been suffering from dementia for several years and he has legal power of attorney and has had for several years.  It turns out that in 2020, she voted for Joe Biden.  They didn't let official registrars or witnesses into the facility due to the pandemic.  Imagine that...a lifelong Republican who was on the Executive Committee for the State Republican party decided to vote for Biden in 2020 as did all but 2 people in the facility.  The staff helped with the ballots...in a county that is 75% Democrat.  They eventually threw out her ballot after the ballots were certified and deemed it pandemic related "clerical" error because she shouldn't have been eligible to vote anyway because of the full power of attorney.  The issue was never investigated because his mother couldn't say whether she voted or not...and for who.  When my friend pushed the issue, he was simply accused of attempting to "disenfranchise" voters by the Democratic controlled election board.

There never is.  We had a lot of election related shenanigans here in Sconnie particularly in heavily Democratic Madison and Milwaukee..most of them related to Zuckerberg funded "election" efforts such as unmonitored ballot boxes, curing of improper absentee ballots (privately funded) against election laws and only in Democratic strongholds.  Most of those efforts have since been stuck down by the State Supreme Court to prevent a repeat in 2024.  Hopefully, we have a transparent and fair election this time around.  We should all be able to agree on that.
