Is their #1 guy maybe in the SB this weekend?
Eric Bienemy is not leaving KC to be our OC, he would be crazy to take anything but a HC job. They would need to dump Zimmer to get him. Who else do you have in mind?

All the candidates are flunking Zimmer's big question.."Will you run on every first and second down come hell or high water?"

Candidate:  "Umm, well, it's not the best idea and I'd like to open things up with all the weapons you have here and not run Cook's career into the dirt and..."

Zim: "NEXT!"

You have to wonder if EB was ever a candidate if yesterday's inability to make anything work doomed him.

I dont think he ever was...Why would he leave OC @ KC and come here in a lateral? No way I'd do that and leave a generational talent like Mahomes.

It would have to be a promotion to OC/Assistant HC. But, no, I don't think he was ever a candidate. Just wondering why they waited until after the Super Bowl to announce it.

I dont think coaching decisions are league calendar related?

We may never know why
