Time To Move Treadwell?
#21
I don't get the angst over having an Eli Apple type on the team.

Unless you're going to tell me that the Cincinnati FO and Marvin Lewis forced Pacman Jones on Zimmer.

Well the culture that Zimmer and Spielman is building is
different than what was built with Lewis and Zimmer.  They took on a lot more character concern
players in Cincinnati.  Here we are
delving into that area much less and constantly mention character as a key attribute to what we are looking for.

Secondly, I think Zimmer may be willing to take a chance on
a great football player that’s rough around the edges.  I don’t know a lot about Apple, but everything
that is said about Apple is anti-Zimmer.

He loafs plays.  He’s divisive
in the locker room.  He doesn’t accept
coaching well.  He doesn’t think that he’s
the problem.  When was the last time a player
has gone to the media and explicitly called out their teammate as a “cancer”?   His
problems inhibit him becoming a good football player, rather than being off the
field issues you have to manage.

What am I missing here?

This did make me chuckle. Good one!
