Ryan Kelly return?

I wouldn't call it "just as important." And while you might think the Vikings' only shot at a run is a year or two away, I can guarantee you teams this talented don't think that way. If the Vikings were winless, or even 2-6, maybe so, but this is a .500 team that just got its starting QB back and is starting to get healthy on both sides of the ball. 

To suggest that this team should play lesser players in an attempt to prep them for '26 or '27 is a batshit-level kind of crazy to me. Good luck getting that one past Justin Jefferson, Darrisaw, Greenard, etc.

I'm with Jimmy here. You can't rely on Kelly moving forward and the chances of him being on the roster next year are extremely slim, so why would you not give Brandel the nod after he's shown potential at the position and will only improve with more reps? Kelly's job for this year should be helping to prepare Brandel every week for game day, how to make line calls and blitz pickups. Brandel excites me more from a continuity perspective moving forward then holding my breathe every week to see if Kelly, (who is likely a short timer) survives game day. Give me the younger, bigger player without the concussion worries. Much more important to see if he is "the guy" moving forward and I don't believe the difference in play is substantial. Outside of a couple bad plays against Philly, he's played well

You know, for every Robert Smith, who got out of the game to protect his life after football, there is a Tua who’s whole life is playing the game and quitting isn’t an option. We can all speculate what we would do in that situation, but we don’t know what his mindset will be.

I think it’s safe to say though that if he wants to play, and the doctors say he’s ready to play, the coaches are going to play him instead of Brandel.

That said, I like the idea of finding out what we have in Brandel over time, to see if he can fill the void in 2026 should Kelly retire.

Tyler Sash, Junior Seau are cautionary tales of head injuries drastically decreasing mental health and quality of life.  Robert Gallery had a great article on the brain trauma.  Now his article is on experimental use of medicine similar to what I believe A-Rod has done.   It may be a 1 off case, but he is firmly a believer in its benefits.

The fan in me would like to see Kelly back at center.  Brandel has done pretty well but Kelly was signed to be the starter.
The doctor part of me believes he should strongly consider retirement for his long term and overall health.

Rogan has been championing Ibogaine for several years,  has told about every ex seal, and MMA fighters, on his show about it and many others as well.  shit sounds like the real deal.  Hell if the NFL was legit about player health and safety, they would be throwing millions at its research as well....of course then they would lose billions in big pharma advertising during their games so..... money will win.
