MMQB: Superbowl or bust for the Lions

It really killed the Vikings when Shurmur left and again when Sparano died at just 56 yrs old.

Other times? Not so much. Zimmer went through OC's like some people go through socks.

I think filling the shoes of Ben Johnson will be difficult. I wasn't as high on Glenn, but he had a great game plan vs Darnold/KOC.

But boy, they are loaded with talent. That'll make any coaches job a bit easier.

Zimmer had terrible luck with OCs, any good one got hired immediately because the team was good.  But it certainly didn't help the team.

I think Goff was just about a bust until Ben Johnson got ahold of him.  Now we will see if he can sustain that.  With a rookie center.

Goff has great protection. Like all other QB,s, he will struggle when the protection breaks down. He has enough experience to get the ball out quick, so Flores has to find a way to counter that. I think the Vikings will get pressure, just not sure the back end will be able to cover.
Rodgers in his hey day was never the same if you could hit him a good lick early in the game. I feel the same about Goff. The pressure needs to get there early and lay a good hit on him. So far, that has been hard to do.

Well, they are going to have to do it as a wildcard because they are not winning this division.

All I know is, their all pro center took 1 look at the Vikings free agent defensive tackle signings, & promptly retired…  Tongue
