I'm caught between Evans and Asamoah.  Evans' 3 concussions make me nervous if he can stay on the field, so I'll take Asamoah.

Ingram tied for 3rd on the team  with 4? sacks of Cousins.

He had some really rough games where he struggled. 

humiliating and humbling experience can impel individuals to do the work to find improvement.

The OP asked which defensive player, but if it's open to all players, I go with Ingram. His rookie year wasn't as bad as most think. In context with other rookie guards, his PFF grade was top half. What's more, he improved quite a bit over the course of the season.
