Should Vikings extend Sam Bradford, or hope Teddy Bridgewater comes back?

Personally, I'd wait til week 8 to extend Bradford.  Make him play like he did last year, and show us you can still remain healthy.

Those 2 things happen then yes, I'd extend him.

Worst case is you franchise him, to buy a little more time with TB....
Where you been dude???

Those are some interesting takes, not new ones but good to hear outsiders I guess. Really not much else to say about this anymore and the Vikings have time now to see how it plays out a bit.  They are in a better position now qb wise than they've been in a while.

Hope they don't F it up. Hope lady luck screws em over again like she usually does.
??? are you forgetting something?  B)

It's pretty obvious that Purplefaithful has been spending a little too much time with his Packer buddies...  :-P

BOOM
Honestly Wet...

With how snarky a lot of these Vikings sites have gotten via the Sam vs Bridgewater kerfuffle, or the political divisiveness that pervades forums or causes forums to split, those Packer buddies ain't looking so bad these days.

Even for a lifelong, bleeding purple fan of 45+ years.

Maybe winning will cure all this fall...

Ha!  My Packer buddies are good guys, but I cannot talk football with them half the time...  especially during the off-season.

As far as the Sam vs. Teddy debate, I think most are in the middle.  It's the extremes that make those discussions intolerable...

Why extend Sam now or after preseason.  I don't believe his price will change significantly and we dont' really know if his years of underachievement are myth or reality.     I think he still hasn't earned an extension.

Yup, its not just the $ element, its Bridgewater too. I don't wanting to be kicking him to the curb if Bradford reeks of mediocre and Teddy still has the look of potential.

Tough, tough situation for the Vikings? Maybe. The most important pieces of information to make a decision haven't played out yet.

where is the players union on the Vikings talking of tolling Teddy this year?  I know when it first came out a few months back there was talk of the union fighting it,  but havent heard a word since.  Are they just waiting to see if the team does try to shelf Teddy until weeks 7 before they speak out about the rule?
