What is being said about the trade for TJ Hockenson

I guess with regards to blocking, I wonder if he’s good
enough that you escape the problem of having a blocking TE and a receiving TE
that get swapped out depending on what the situation calls for.

Not a good blocker is rather subjective.  Not a good blocker for a TE like Irv?  Or not an offensive tackle?  As you say, if he can be a competent blocker so as to have that dual threat, that is what a TE should be.

He was considered a good blocker coming out of Iowa, he does have 11 receptions of 20 or more yards this season, which would put him second on this team behind only JJ…

anybody can learn to block... you just have to want to learn to block ( dont tell AD though )
