I'm in the minority it seems but I think Tua will have a good season. MIA RBs are suspect but Hill is a field tilter and Waddle had an awesome rookie season. I'm a believer in their new coach as well. Tua is in a similar situation as Kirk actually. Kirk is much better and more proven, but our goals are higher. MIA is kind of like a poor-man's us in regards to the situation and expectations.
Yea, I see things differently for the Dolphins.

They finished last year strong in terms of wins but those came against the likes of some of the worst teams in the NFL - 2 Jets. Giants, Panthers, Texans and an Ian Book led Saints.  They also lost to the Jags and Falcons two other bottom feeders.  They had an extremely easy schedule and were able to squeak out 9 wins and to some look like a playoff team.  They were not a playoff team by any stretch - IMO.

They did manage to bookend their season with victories against the Patriots so there is that!

The new Coach has one season as an OC (which is one more then KOC but a novice)

There schedule this season look a lot more difficult - on paper of course goes without saying I hope.

They start with: Patriots, Ravens, Bills, Bengals, Jets then Vikings.

I think the Dolphins will have a hard time reaching 7 wins and that is with playing the Lions and Bears (who might be the worst team in football this upcoming year)
I actually expect more from the Bears this year.
That's all about Fields. If he improves, the Bears improve. But that won't be easy with what might be the NFL's worst OL and worst WR group.

NFL bettors expect Bears to underachieve as Chicago most popular NFL Under bet for 2022 season
With training camp right around the corner and the NFL schedule having been finalized for weeks now, the betting market for NFL win totals and other props has settled a bit. Win totals continue to be a popular bet, and it's fascinating to see where the big money goes and the trends that materialize. One such trend centers around the Chicago Bears.
According to Caesars Sportsbook, the Bears Under 6.5 wins prop has received the most money among any NFL team's Under prop. With Chicago's win total, 95% of the total dollars wagered are on the Under. Shockingly, seven of the 12 largest Under bets placed at Caesars are on the Bears! Chicago's Under has attracted 67 percent more money than the next-closest Under, which is the Atlanta Falcons Under 5.
This is interesting, as the Bears have been assigned the T-24th toughest schedule in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers are expected to potentially take a small step backwards with the loss of Davante Adams, the Minnesota Vikings -- like the Bears -- are working with a first-year had coach, and then the Detroit Lions are the Detroit Lions. That team plays hard for Dan Campbell, but it isn't exactly expected to rack up wins in 2022. Still, the Bears have received triple the Under money as the rest of the NFC North teams combined.
Matt Eberflus is a head coach that will ensure the Bears' identity remains on defense, but the questions on offense are likely why bettors are so down on this team entering 2022. Justin Fields is an intriguing young quarterback, but it doesn't help that Chicago is attempting to replace Allen Robinson with Equanimeous St. Brown and Byron Pringle -- unless Dante Pettis, Tajae Sharpe or Velus Jones Jr. surprises some people.
Bears O/U 6.5 wins initially opened with the Over favored at -140 and the Under +120, but the amount of money that came in flipped the juice, with the Under now -140 and the Over +120. The 6.5 line remains the same, however.
The Bears went 6-11 last year. Bettors clearly are not expecting any kind of improvement in 2022.

Yea I thought Wilson went to the worst situation of the first round QB's last year but year 2 I think Fields is in the worst situation.

The Bears are clearly using this season as a rebuild.  They had no 1st round draft picks, had an older injury prone defense, and very little CAP space this year and into the future with Mack's contract.

They were able to get good value for Mack and free up a ton of CAP space into the future with other older defenders released as well.  FWIW, Da Bears will have the most CAP space of any team heading into next offseason and a QB on a rookie deal.  (Spotrac has them at a whopping 88 million in space)

The Bears decided to bite-the-bullet and rebuild without, of course, ever saying that.  But they are putting Fields in a bad situation to ramp up after this season.

The Bears have clearly decided to let Fields crash and burn. Let their only good WR go in FA, sign nobody, use both their 2nd round picks on D and finally take a WR at #71 is no way to help a 2nd year QB that they used 2 1st round picks to get.  Poles is using Fields as the crash-test dummy to get "his" QB next year.

It's all meaningless if Fields doesn't work out. And how will they really know? I can hear it already: "he'd be better if he had a team around him." OK, so then you've wasted another year while you try to improve his surround, still not really knowing if he's the guy.

I know the whole idea of breaking it all down and rebuilding is appealing to some, but it all depends on the QB. If he's not the right guy, it's like adding floors onto a building before you finish the foundation. It's not going to stand no matter how much money you put into it.

I think the NFL got seduced by a run of pretty good QBs in Mahomes, Allen, Herbert and Burrow, but I wouldn't be too surprised if last year's class brings everyone back to reality.

Yes, of course!  They are clearly rebuilding with Fields as the base/franchise QB.  No guarantees that he is but with their CAP and aging player roster a complete rebuild was in order.

I am not. Curious to know why you are pls.
I think Shanahan is the best young offensive-minded coach in the league (yes, over McVay). So naturally I’m high on his top assistant as well. The Niners dealt with massive injuries last year to RBs, QBs, and George Brittle, and that offense kept rolling. Deebo looks like a star and Aiyuk was solid too. The playoff game in GB was a slugfest but they still won. Brian Flores never should have been fired in Miami, but I do think McDaniel is legit. Anxious to see what he can do with Tua.
