Another serious question.....

Dunno, everyone seemed to hate how Ricky drafted too, but then he worked many years in the business.  His downfall was not finding a QB.

So now everyone is smarter than the new GM and had a better plan.  Guess we won't be seeing any of the 'mea culpas' in 3 years like we usually do.

I am just gonna say the people in charge know more than I do and will give Kwesi the time to show either he can be a good GM or bad one before I pass judgement.

Well that's just it, the people "in charge" don't know more then you or I and are throwing darts too. The Wilfs are fans, who IMO, their fandom hasn't always been in the best interest of the team. Kwesi had zero prior football experience before landing an analytics job with the 49ers in 2013. He did that for 7 years before landing the VP of football operations job in Cleveland which could entail he was responsible for booking flights, hotels, or making sure the stadium had enough hot dogs for game day. That job could have included a lot of things that had very little to do with actual football or roster assembly...nobody knows. I hope like hell it works out, but to me it's been a hugely lackluster offseason and hope it's not a sign of seasons to come. Proof will be on the field so we all just wait until then.

Get used to it. The future of the NFL--actually the NOW of the NFL--is more egghead data guys than football guys.

I disagree about the offseason. It wasn't the huge "go for it" spending spree that last off season was, but it's been solid and efficient. Hicks and Phillips are basically poster boys for wise, efficient spending. The draft filled all remaining holes. There will be a learning curve with the new offense, defense and rookies, but this roster is ready to compete.
