The #Vikings are expected to promote WR Alexander Hollins from the practice squad, source said. Undrafted rookie from Eastern Illinois gives them four healthy receivers tonight against the #Seahawks , with Adam Thielen out again because of his hamstring injury.

The kid has some speed.  He gets behind the secondary, he's gone...

Maybe he'll be that unknown guy who has a huge game out of no where - scoring on some deep bombs!. The guy thats playing where there is no NFL game tape on him, so Seattle leaves him alone trying to double up Diggs.

in this offense... unlikely he sees the field unless we get another injury,  or he spells somebody on a run play.

The #Vikings are making room for Hollins on the roster by placing starting LB Ben Gedeon on injured reserve, I’m told. Gedeon suffered his second concussion of the season Nov. 17 and was ruled out tonight.

So why didn’t the Vikes just hold onto Doctson until Theilen is healed up?  I don’t understand bringing up a raw undrafted rookie to the active roster, when you just had an experienced vet and someone with chemistry with KC on the roster.

Just seems odd timing and decision making to cut Doctson to bring up Cam Smith, THEN put Gideon on IR to call up an inexperienced WR.  Why need just keep Doctson, put Gedeon on IR and call up LB Smith?

Maybe Doctson wasnt ready playbookwise?  Or he slacked on getting into game shape?
