Patriots release Jared Veldheer
This is interesting: The #Patriots are releasing veteran OT Jared Veldheer off of the reserve/retired list, source said. He’s in shape and looking to help a team in need of an OL. A possible late-season addition.

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
Packers will pr ably grab him. i think they are hurting at O line.
Vikings won't touch him. Others teams are in much greater need than Minnesota.

With all of the problems that NE is having with their OL... I wouldn't want anything to do with this guy. Either he's completely toxic... or he's just not that good. (Or he's hurt and the Patriots aren't letting that little secret out)
Either way, I don't see any reason for interest in this guy.
The Patriots let Kline walk, Pumpf. They're not impervious to bad roster moves. I do think your points are valid and probably 99% right but you never know. Last thing I want to see is Rashod Hill playing RT in a crucial situation.

He wouldnt replace a starter, but would be worth kicking the tires on as a back up at least. Of course he is only 32 and other teams may look at him as a longer term fix and be willing to offer more.

But, yes: Tennessee did let him sign elsewhere. Probably because they were saving up all the cap money for Mariota! :p
