49ers cruising, NFC looks to be a 3-team race

The NFC is going thru either San Fran, New Orleans or Green Bay to get to the Super Bowl. Will be interesting. IMO, those are the top 3 seeds regardless of what order. Lots of games yet, but these 3 have found ways to win ball games and stack wins.

There might be one other team to consider.

While I do believe the Packers and Saints are for real, I'm still a little skeptical of the 49ers. They haven't really played anyone. We'll see how good they are in the 2nd half when they play the Seahawks twice, the Ravens, Packers and Saints.

Thats a brutal schedule...

GL to em. I'm not a believer in em fully yet like I am The Saints, maybe GB.

I think the teams to watch from here on out are MN, Dal and Sea. One of these 3 can make a jump to top 2 NFC contender.

All about starting healthy and getting hot down the stretch - december stretch.

Trubisky sucks to bad for me to put Chicago in that mix. If he turns it around? They're a different story.

I wouldn't worry too much about Bisky turning it around. His biggest problem is accuracy and that's not something that improves. They could start playing good defense again. I just hope we don't see them in the playoffs. As bad as they are, they clearly have our number.

I don't like Seattle's defense. 27th against the pass. Dallas is a wild card. Can beat anyone, can lose to anyone. I think the teams who are built to last are the Vikings, Saints, Packers and maybe the 49ers. But as you say, in the back half, it's all about getting hot and staying healthy.

I think the Saints, Vikings and Packers are the top three teams in the NFC.

And I am not convinced we lose division.

While I don't think the 49ers will stay undefeated, they're a playoff team IMO.  They will most likely with their division, and they're built quite a bit like the Vikes.  They have a decent D, with a strong front 4, and they run the ball well.  JG looked really good last night too.  Way better than I thought he was.

Wouldn't put the Packers in the elite category.  They were gifted a win against the Lions, we gave them a win against us at GB, a Rogers pass that the was throwing away gave them a win against a Mahomeless KC and they got beat by a team we cruised by.  The bottom line is they suck!

I really don't have an opinion on this at the half way point of the season.  Like they say "On any given Sunday".  The division leaders right now may not be in that position at the end of the season.  Look at Chicago, at the beginning of the season, everyone thought they would run away with the division and the Packers were a has been.  Sorry to say, but the only constant is the Patriots.  Barring injuries, the healthiest team at the end of the season usually is leading their respective division.

I say our season kind of hinges on the next 2 games,  if we can win both at KC and at Dallas... we are for real and will win the division IMO.

San Frans level of legit still remains to be seen,  plenty of challenges remaining for them.

Dallas plays the NFC east... essentially the Patriots schedule in the NFC so they have a lot to prove yet as well IMO.

Packers are pretty deserving, but what happens when they dont have the refs in their pocket and are on the road against quality teams... San Fran and Minny as well as a super motivated Lions team to end the year in a get even game? (hopefully)

The Saints themselves have had some games where they didnt really look all that dominant on O,  which is really their calling card and have several tough matchups remaining...

I dont think there are any certainties in the NFC just yet.  There are still a few outsiders that could join this mix as well if they get hot late.

Packers got beat at home by the Eagles and Lions and the game with us took Al Riveron to call-in and take back a TD.
This Packers team is going to fall.

That bears game is what's going to cost us a home playoff game.

Green Bay just got it butt handed to them.  They are posers.  Seems like we are as well.

I watched Tom Brady do stuff I'd never seen him do last night.  Garbage throws left and right.  That team hadn't faced any real competition prior.   Belichik had a look on his face like, "If Brady didn't have Kraft in his back pocket, I'd have Garappolo out there now instead of this mess.". Brady is over the hill and I think they are going to get stopped at some point in the playoffs.
