Well, we started the season shorthanded and we kept a guy with an 8 game suspension, who sank his own draft stock, that says a lot about his talent/ability...but, next tuck up and he's sent packing...
no reason to cut him until suspension is over. He does not cost a roster spot until then. Good insurance policy. If all is healthy and you are done with his actions, he is gone. personally I think they keep him.
yes they will keep him for now, but I agree with Barr, another screw up and they likely part ways.
I wanna see how this plays out. They kept him Hill because he can play.IMO it depends on how nicked up the secondary is at Week#8 and whether Hill stays out of trouble.
The Vikes may get to week 8 and say adios. No one knows if the FO sees him as part of the roster long term. I gotta believe he's out of mulligans.
The issue for the FO comes down to, is this a player they can count on? Given his history, man I dunno?
The first time it happens in Rhodes' career, he ends up signing a one year contract at the Veteran's minimum, he will have to figure it out then...

I'm not defending Rhodes but do you all think Zimmer playing more Zone is affecting more than the other guys?
Waynes definitely played in more of a hybrid Zone & Man scheme at MSU. And while FSU did employ both schemes while he was there I can factually state that he played a lot more Man, against the like of Jeffries, Hopkins and Watkins by the way.
With the NFL cracking down on contact after 5 yards and Mike using more and more zone looks to counter bunch formations, misdirection, rub routes and running QBs Xavier might not be the ideal fit any more.
