Holy crap there are so many crappy teams this year. Probably not surprising with this COVID season, but the Vikings are a middle of the pack team with a 1-3 record. =)
Yeah I am at peace with the fact that they are not going to be as bad as that. I do want the additional pieces to move forward. I did enjoy the game yesterday. It is fun to see growth and progress. I have no expectations for the season. It's a bit of a rebuild on defense so we'll see what happens. The offense has some weapons with Cook, Thielen and Jefferson. I am excited to watch Jefferson.
At best I think the Vikings could be 9 - 7 if they make huge strides on the D side of the ball, but that would doom this team to another year of mediocrity and knock the Vikings down the draft insuring no chance at drafting a franchise QB. At worst we could go winless the rest of the year and have the top pick. I am guessing 4-12 right now.
