If Nothing Else, Cook Is The Real Deal
Homerun threat every time he touches the ball...one of my favorite things about how he runs is he's always decisive...he was a step away on two other runs...
Yup -- Stays healthy and he's a jewel of a tail-back. Perfect for this era of offensive ball.
And even with all the warts and the soul-crushing defeat from today, we're 2/1 after beating the Raiders next week.

i hope they don’t treat Oakland like Buffalo.
He's elite. You can see that he's back to 100 percent , his confidence level is sky high
Cook and Mattison are a very dangerous combo at the running back position. Cook ate them up and then when the defense is tiring out, Mattison pounds the crap out of them. Rinse and repeat.
I think everyone forgot just how talented Cook was coming into the NFL. He was a legit early 1st rounder who many scouts felt was better than Fournette and McCaffery before he fell due to character concerns, which so far anyway, appear to have been greatly exaggerated.
Cook and Kubes is a match made in football heaven.
Top 5 back...maybe that is damining with faint praise...
After 17 games and 16 starts

Cook wasn't 100 last year.
Cook=6.5 ypc
Mattison=5.7 ypc on 13 rushes
It's only 2 games and virtually no way they can maintain those kinds of numbers. Impressive start IMO.
This team can pound the rock and play defense, If Cousins wised up they'd be outstanding.

I think every DC we face is going to stack the box and make KC beat em...
Cue Ponder/AD days....

the stacked boxes is when AD feasted... its when they laid back and came in waves is where he would have to start chopping his feet and the defense would over whelm him. the stacked box to beat the run doesnt work IMO against backs with a quick cut and good vision.

Yep....you can look for that to happen on Sunday against the Raiders. But here's the thing....Cousins, Thielen, Diggs and Rudy CAN beat them. And once that starts to happen a little bit and we start to achieve a little bit of balance--something Stef was obviously trying hard to do last Sunday, everything will chug a little bit better.And one more thing, plenty of defenses put 8 in the box against plenty of other Kubiak backs.
