New year, same BS calls in Lambeau
Worse. The excessive offensive pass interference is beyond ridiculous.
8 times in the past 10 years a team has been called for three or more OPIs...8 times in over 2,500 games...
What frustrates me about the PI that erased the TD is this. Coaches all around the league were challenging PI calls all throughthe pre seson to see what calls would be reversed and which would not. I do not remember a single one being over turned because we were repeatedly told they are only going to reverse a call if it is blatently obvious that PI did or did not occur. So what do they do second game of the season ?? Call that B.S. they did today.
It was atrocious today, but nothing will change.
We lost this game though. Sure, a call in a different direction might've changed the outcome, but we weren't robbed.
I went back and checked the play by play of every game today. there were 30 teams playing and 29 of them were whistled for at least one holding call. Guess which team wasnt called for a single hold ?

I thought touchdown review was just that, reviewing whether it was a score.. Now they review every guy on the field to see if they can find someone committing a penalty? I've never heard of that before. But then again It's Lambeau where every time we visit some never-seen-before piece of referee chicanery takes place.

I know it sounds like I need a life LOL but it really doesnt take that long when every team is called for holding in the first half.
Another thing I just saw on Pro Football Talk:
There were 5.18 offensive holding calls per game in Week One and the first 15 games of Week Two have seen 4.67 flags thrown. But not a one on the Packers, go figure.

I agree that with our field goal miss/block and turnovers showed we have a hell of a lot of improvement to do. But literally taking away 4 points from a team in a tight game on a phantom call from a booth review is pure BS. We keep that TD and the rest of the second half gets played differently.

Also tack on a missed field goal...

I think we're in agreement. You're not wrong, but this isn't our underlying issue. This is a hill I'm prepared to die on: Cousins won't win us big games.

When I heard the TD and then it was taken off the board on OPI, I thought, how fitting, the first PI reversal will be in lambeau and will help the packers. Even the announcers were commenting on the imbalance in calls. at one point it was 8-115 against the Vikings, 4-20 Packers.
There was the OPI on cook? But the one on theilen was just as bad.

IMO, that was more DPI than Cook's was OPI.
Packers fans keep saying we always blame the refs. There is a valid reason for this. The refs controlled this game with PI calls and taking a TD off the board with less evidence than uncalled PI on the Packers defense.
You have to agree with the OP;New year, same BS calls in Lambeau
^ I agree. It's the inconsistency for me. That was more egregious than the Cook call.
