Ant Harris; Certifed Baller...

Looking back now, maybe it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Vikings safety Anthony Harris has emerged as a budding star at his position. 
You could argue the writing has been on the wall since Harris was called up from the practice squad 3 1/2 years ago and inserted into the starting lineup for a Week 14 game against the Arizona Cardinals. 
Perhaps the most impressive thing about his NFL debut, according to middle linebacker Eric Kendricks, was the simple fact that he fit right in. 
“I don’t know what it was,” Kendricks said. “I just remember I felt comfortable with him being back there even though he hadn’t played a snap all season. He was making plays, and I was like, ‘Man, this dude is a certified baller.’ ” 
A few years later, Harris has worked his way into the starting lineup full time, pairing with Pro Bowl safety Harrison Smith to form a deadly duo in the secondary. 
“It’s a good combination back there because he sees Harrison doing something and then he’s trying to disguise to do something else,” coach Mike Zimmer said. “They have a good little aura about them where they can kind of be like, ‘You show this time, I show that time.’ ” 
Needless to say, Harris stole the show Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. He made two interceptions and recovered a fumble to pace the Vikings to a 28-12 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. 
“That (expletive) gets me emotional,” Kendricks said. “I’ve seen him start at the bottom, legitimately, and all he did was work. He’s a humble guy and knows his role on the team. It’s no question why we see him having success. He’s worked for that.”
