The Oakland Raiders have officially had enough of the drama surrounding wide receiver Antonio Brown. The team has released the four-time first-team All-Pro receiver before he even played one game.

After requesting his release on Saturday morning, the team granted his wishes. Brown is not subject to waivers and can sign with a team at any point. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

I doubt anyone signs him. But it will be interesting to see what happens if, late in the year, a playoff team loses one of its top receivers.

He didn't make one dime in Oakland. In fact, with fines, he lost a couple hundred thousand.

This guy is off the rails....but he's the most dangerous WR in football. Somebody is going to sign him.

Maybe the Chiefs will sign him, they seem to have rather loose standards these days.

They'll be tempted. It'll be interesting to see what happens. But I have a hard time believing there is a coach out there yearning to have his conversations taped and played on Youtube.

I don't have HBO but I would imagine Hard Knocks is pretty fun to watch this year.

The NFL should suspend him .  If any team would sign him ,I could see the Browns pairing him with OBJ

Chucky was never good at evaluating talent.

Mayock was a TV analyst.

The Raiders traded a 27 year old Mack in his prime for 2 low round 1st round picks.  Aaron  Donald  and Mack are arguably the 2 best defensive players in the NFL. Mack isnt a headcase.

Then the raiders turn around and sign Brown who has a history as a turd and is 30 years old.  Bad move on all fronts.

I don't see Oakland becoming a contender. In fact I see the opposite. Their FO doesn't get it.

They had to drop Brown, Any chance for Mayock to lead as GM has been compromised.

The Mack trade only is the dumbest thing I've seen in recent memory.

Agreed.

Only trade I recall that was on a  similar was Jared Allen coming to Vikings.

That was different though because Allen had some mishaps and KC was kind of forced to  move on.

To my knowledge Mack has a turd factor of zero. With that kind of ability and talent that's not a player ya trade away.JMO

I'm still not against the principle behind the Mack trade. He was angling to be the highest paid Defensive Player ever.

That's normally not problem on a crappy team. It's not like the Raiders were full of talent they had already paid. You have plenty of cap space and build around him.....

With Draft Picks.

But when you're literally the worst drafting team of All Time with an Owner who's literally a 2nd Generation 'Build Your Team via Flashy FA Signings' Owner you can't afford to pay Mack that kind of money and get your prized offseason acquisitions.

They should really be called the Ravens because those birdbrained Davis' can't resist shiny objects.
