Vikings to sign new punter Colquitt

I'm skeptical that this is all gonna work itself out, and somehow, the Vikings ST's are gonna perform above average this season.

The most recent Viking fan legend, Vedvik, was the FOURTH draft pick the Vikings have used on Kickers/Punters since 2013. It's the FIFTH draft pick utilized on ST only players during that same time frame, including this years long snapper (actually the 9th draft pick utilized, if you include ol" Cordarelle and the FOUR draft picks pissed away on him to be a KR).
I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that ridiculous expenditure of draft picks on ST-Only players in a 6 year span is a NFL record....certainly in the modern era. SMH. But hey, at least they have 1 miracle home playoff win to show for it....so they got THAT going for them. 
P.S. : 8 of those 9 draft picks have gone bye-bye....no longer with the Vikings. Thank God we still have a long snapper to show for all those draft picks. WHEW! I'll sleep better tonight.

I pretty much stated the same in another thread aboyr the offense and special teams but wait... we should trust the GM and coaches not dare raise any concerns
At least he's an established punter and holder, but changing things up right before the start of the season doesn't seem great. That being said, the Vikings attempts at managing specialists have been a disaster. Maybe try sticking with veterans for a few years instead of constantly burning picks on the kicking game.
If Bailey makes his kicks, Colquitt is a serviceable punter and does well as a holder, then this ridiculousness all evaporates.
Big ifs, however. Hoping for the best.
Just to assure they have covered their bases, they have added a kicker to the PS. I feel better now.

Or, accept the fact that it may take a week or two for the snapper, holder, and kicker to develop a rhythm, and just stick with it. It’s like we go through the growing pains but are not patient enough to get the rewards. Except with Matt Blair. That was a weird case.

The difficult thing to try and reconcile or find reason is the constant turnover.
How could anyone reasonably expect the offense to have any continuity if they change coaches (and playbooks) every year?
That is really piss poor planning.
Same thing with the kicker and punter.
Just pick one, show some patience, encourage the player, don't criticize him publicly, and they may be surprised at the results.
Meanwhile the vaunted defense has had the same coaches and scheme since Zimmer arrived (maybe a position coach left but I do not recall).
Yet this defense failed to show up the last two years in the last game of the season.
They got their arse kicked.
Something is wrong with this front office.
