Both Trae Waynes and Jeff Badet lost in the first round tonight. They had bad starts in their races.

I'm surprised. I thought for sure that one of them would make it to the finals. And then (in the final)- inexplicably- veer off to the left and miss the finish line.
Its tough to beat a former Olympian. They know how to prepare, their form is perfect and that matters in this kind of format as the winner comes down to tenths or hundredths of a second. 40 yards is a very short distance and any minute mistake or hesitation and you're done.
