A look at our 2004 vs 2019 Coaching Staffs
| This strikes me as a pretty big difference, you? Maybe this is the case of staff expansion across the NFL? Or maybe McCombs was just a skinflint owner in 2004? Both? Tice had some pretty good coaches on that staff
I assume there are a lot more assets in the business around health and wellness in general and I could see yoga getting added full-time down the road too. Keep these guys limber. 2004 Tice Staff:

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Mike Tice worked for a cheap ass owner, zero doubt about it. He was a DIRT cheap hire. But he could also be a meathead. He did ok considering his circumstances but never got a shot at the big job again for a reason. Time has softened this for some Viking's fans in looking back.

Good point. But the great mind of Norv Turner then Art Shell had him in Oakland. In 2 years they combined for 6 wins and Randy combined for fewer TD's then his last with Tice. That season was shortened by injury even. Before of course Bill rediscovered him. Randy was a unique weapon no doubt.

Tice had his faults, being to honest and open when talking to the media and he was too friendly/soft with the players. But he still won games without much help from ownership.
And yes Tice was a meathead. I do have a soft spot for him. I forgive somebody who tried hard but was unsuited for the job far faster then someone who was full of themselves...ala Brad Childress.

First Ballot HOF and arguably the most talented WR we will ever see. That makes coaching more easy.
The Patriots went 18-0 with Randy Moss and Sam freaking Cassel went 11-5 and got a huge payday because of Moss.

pretty sure Sammy Cassel didn't go 11-5 for the Patriots... Must have been his brother Matt.
