OT ad blocker that still works for articles?
So pretty much every Viking article that get posted now days has some sort of anti-adblocker where it wont let you see the article. Is there a crafty solution to this other then using another browser without an ad blocker?
Well for stuff like the Star Tribune that lets you see a handful of articles free before paying you can open it in Incognito Mode and it forgets how many articles you've seen.
Incognito mode (in Chrome) is supposed to just not track you so it's private, I think that's a little sketchy but what you do in incognito mode doesn't get put into your browsing history. Just right click on the icon in the taskbar that you use to open the program and click "New Incognito Window" or click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner and there should be another link that says the same thing or Ctrl-Shift-N.
Firefox has something similar, maybe called private browsing or something like that.
Also, simply right clicking a link from Chrome brings up an option, "open link in incognito window." This will automatically open the link in an incognito window so you don't have to copy/paste the address in an empty browser.
Thanks for the info! Chrome is my regular browser. I opened the strib in incognito mode but received a request to pay a subscription after reading a couple articles.
