Dropped 20 spots in the third.

But who have we missed out on really? Players here are so evenly ranked. Chauncy Gardner still there. Mack Wilson, Amani Hooker. Dieonte Thompson. Hakeem Butler, Emmanuel Hall, Rennel Wren. Samia, Isaiah Johnson, Cajuste

Not a bad back for depth.  At 102 we certainly could have done worse.

Probably loose an actual potential player from the practice squad while we cover for tready one last time

5' 11" RB with 4.7 40 speed. In the 3rd.

But we get six....count 'em SIX practice squad players (who may get cut) in the 6th and 7th rounds

As mentioned in chat, our one hope is the Spielman uses those 6s and 7s to move up for actual players in the 4th and 5th.  Vikings went from 81 to 102 for a 5th, 6th, and 7th. Whoopde freaking do.

A bit of a reach after a nice start to the draft (mattison). Just looks like someone you could have gotten after the draft but WDIK?

With the time and effort spent in draft research you would think a front office would have a definitive list of preferred players. This annual scattershot approach seems like an enormous lack of conviction.

Mattison ran a 4.5-4.55 at his pro day so a pretty big improvement. Looking at him, I think he’s simply expected to be a good fit for the new zone scheme. At least to me, it appears his strengths are a natural fit anyway.
