That would be difficult to top. Any realistic chance Risner is there at 50?
I dont think Stick is a pro QB even with a couple years of grooming...I would pass there from my limited chances to see him play.

I would love that draft. Saunders has some serious whoop-ass to his game. Hanks will go sooner cuz speed. Agree with drafting offense early and often.

It would be very hard to beat this draft, Maroon. Well done... now if only the draft fell like this...
@"MaroonBells" said:Some running QBs can work, but stick makes me think of.a rb that passes the ball. Not necessarily a run for first guy, but he certainly seems more natural running than passing.@"JimmyinSD" said: I dont think Stick is a pro QB even with a couple years of grooming...I would pass there from my limited chances to see him play. What I like about Saunders is that he could probably play both. For the Vikings he could start right away at 3T and then project long term as a replacement for Joseph. In the short term, love to see two 330 lb tackles clogging up that middle.
@"Bullazin" said: That would be difficult to top. Any realistic chance Risner is there at 50?Realistic? Yes. Likely? No. He doesn't have the athletic traits that a lot of the others do and it's become obvious to me that not all scouts are fans of his. Like Lindstrom and Cajuste, his evaluations seem to be all over the map. Some think he's a 1st rounder, others a 3rd. I think his mostly likely range is 30 to 40. Really high floor player IMO.
I don't know if this beats it, but I'd be happy.

Andy Isabella is my favorite mid-round WR in this draft... Seems like the type that will bust his ass every day. And that speed... He'll leave some dudes grasping for air.

He'll leave some dudes grasping for air. He's one of my favorites as well. For a mid-round pick he might take a little while to drive major production at WR but should be on the field day one. He also has the potential to be a heck of a return specialist as well. I am not going to be surprised when someone takes him in round 2 or the very top of round 3.
Every time I do a mock draft the one thing that stands out to me is how many really good receivers there are in the 3rd and 4th rounds. I have a big crush on Deebo, but we'll need a 2nd rounder for him. After that there are probably a good dozen receivers that can start in the NFL. When it comes to WR, this draft reminds me of 2016. Not a big fan of the top receivers, but I sure like the guys in the middle rounds.

Not a big fan of the top receivers, but I sure like the guys in the middle rounds. The same could be said to TE as well with the caveat being that the top guys are much better than the receiver group. But to your point I think the unique thing about this class is there are so many different flavors of receivers in that 3rd-5th range. The Vikings could definitely find a guy who can play a role day one. Even if they wait and take a player like Jalen Hurd (top 30 visit) who has some flexibility he will have the advantage of having Diggs/AT on the outsides.

I'm hoping Hockenson goes before our pick. Really not a fan of taking a TE in the first round. In fact, I hate the idea. But I agree it's something the Vikings may do. Love the next two picks. Pratt is probably my favorite linebacker in this draft. Former safety can really cover, but even if he beats out Gedeon, which he almost certainly would, you're talking about a guy who will play on 40% of snaps. 3rd round is about as high as I'd go for a player like that. At some point, Polite will have some value, but he has more red flags than the Beijing Olympics. Ozigbo and Hurd are great late picks.
