Marcus Sherels signs with the Saints
No more Priefer running air cover...
Seriously though, thanks for some nice moments over the years. Glad you made some nice jing.
I hope the trend of heartbreak continues in Nawlins...
First it was Seattle for any Viking players' next resting spot. Now New Orleans appears to be the next Minnesota annex...
Probably the best PR guy we've ever had. Skol Marcus.
Thank you Marcus for the memories and always giving your best. Wish you well except against the Vikings.
Thanks for the memories Sherels. We will miss the annual debate at training camp.
Won't wish you well cuz I hate the saints, but you done well for a scrawny lad in a big mans game.
Good luck Marcus! Just remember to fumble the punt when playing against the Vikings.

BTW whats with the big love Saints brass has for Viking players???
thanks for the years marcus fuck the saints though
Sherels just said that the Vikings did not make him an offer, they were moving on.
Sherels was always one of my favorites... mostly because fans kept proclaiming he would get cut and the little Chinchilla kept proving them wrong...
I wish you the best, Marcus. Cheers!

BOOM
Marcus, goodbyes are never forever! Let’s plan a date for January 2020, your place or mine, make sure you spike Marcus Lattimore’s Monster because Diggs and Thielen will be soooo happy to see you!!! And, so will I :D
@"StickyBun" said: Said to be 'chasing a Superbowl'. lol, yeah that ain't happening in Minnesota. Best of luck to the kid.Only March and the season has already been forfeited. Yet the team went to he NFCCG game with a terrible offensive line and a backup QB the season before last.
From the book of faces, no idea how legit this is

Marcus Sherels Purchased a massage chair from me last year. He upgraded his chair and I asked the installer to talk to him to see why he made a decision to go to New Orleans.
He informed my installer that the Minnesota Vikings called him last week and told him they were moving in a different direction. He said several teams were intrested in him and he said New Orleans had the best chance to make it to the Super Bowl so he chose them. Vikings were not going to resign him.

Ultimate grinder. Best of luck to Marcus. Thanks to him for all he did for the Vikes over the years!
Hard guy not to like going to a team that's easy to hate.
During his span in Minnesota, he returned 231 punts, took back five punts for touchdown, averaged 10.6 yards per return. Sherels added another 53 kick returns at a solid 25.5 yards per return.
He ranks 26th all-time in punt return yards, ahead of some of the best returners in NFL history in Dante Hall, Deoin Sanders and Josh Cribbs. In fact, his yards per punt return is better than Hall and Sanders and 0.1 yards per return behind Cribbs.
The most impressive stat of Sherels’ career might be the fact that he had only one lost fumble.

Ball security is job #1 for a punt returner, and he turned that into a fairly impressive NFL career.
