I'd expect a formal announcement to follow at some point. But they've agreed to terms per source.

I'm guessing it'll only be a 1-year deal with very little guaranteed money given our cap situation.  More than likely he'll get a chance to compete for the #2 role with Boone and a rookie.

But he doesn’t fit our new Special Teams coach’s kicker profile of a : “football player that also kicks” ...  Rick wouldn’t draft Zim another one, would he!?

@GeoffNichols Is this the year that Marcus Sherels actually goes...? Any chance the team only keeps 2 Qb’s on the active roster this season?

I'd tend to think so. Prieffer was one of his biggest fans.

I'm OK with this.  We need depth... he can return kicks.  We can save a space by getting rid of Sherels (as difficult as that decision may be).  Plus he's got good 3rd down RB skills (I think).
