The Vikings were never going to have enough cap space to sign Saffold (who was the top FA OL we could have targeted due to scheme fit and positional need) without making some major moves.
Just based on what the Vikings have done to date, they'll still need to make some internal moves just to be in compliance with the cap after Barr's deal.  I'm guessing we'll hear news about Rudy restructuring shortly and I wouldn't be surprised if something happens with Everson or others to make some more cap space.

22.5 guaranteed. Was probably never in the cards just as Wet pointed out but me and Maroon have liked this guy since our PT days.
