NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Steelers are "closing in on a deal" to trade Antonio Brown to the Bills.Wow. It will be interesting to see what the Bills are sending the Steelers' direction, as Buffalo doesn't have any extra picks in the early rounds, holding their own first-, second-, and third-round picks, with the first being at No. 9 overall. Going from Ben Roethlisberger and Pittsburgh to Josh Allen and Buffalo is a significant downgrade for Brown both in football and life. His fantasy prospects will obviously take a big hit with this deal. It's truly fair to wonder if Brown will willingly go to Buffalo.

Apparently negotiations went deep into the night and fell apart at the last minute. It seems pretty likely that Brown is the one who nixed it.

@"StickyBun" said: Why in the hell would he go to Buffalo?if he is under contract... he has to go to buffalo... or retire. he can sit out and then lose his year, or show up for the minimal number of weeks and be a malcontent, but that wont help his asking price when his contract expires. I like the idea of sending malcontents to siberia, used to be the browns, but they are getting to much talent so next worst teams turn.

Before the whole Buffalo trade thing was found to be fake news, Vegas had the Bills Super Bowl odds jump from 100-1 to 60-1. :)

I like the message sent, but Buffalo would be stupid to do the deal for a malcontent.@"StickyBun" said: Why in the hell would he go to Buffalo? if he is under contract... he has to go to buffalo... or retire. he can sit out and then lose his year, or show up for the minimal number of weeks and be a malcontent, but that wont help his asking price when his contract expires. @"greediron" said:He's also one of the top 2 or 3 receivers in the NFL. And you're probably going to get him for a middle round pick since "malcontent" is already baked into his value. Just keep him out of the NFC is all I ask.@"JimmyinSD" said:True, but Buffalo would be the loser in the deal if he chose to retire.
