It's funny becaus several people have told me they are surprised I'm not into this show. Given they know my taste for Sci Fi and historic period stuff and a fan of renaissance festivals. I really know very little about this show. I'm not into the dragons and wizards kind of stuff. Is that what this is mostly? Now they are 7 seasons into it already. That's got to be like 70 episodes. That would be alot of catching up. It is immensely popular. I would like to at least know what they are talking about.

Way, way, way beyond dragons and wizards...

I was a late comer - maybe S4. This aint no "kid stuff"

I'll just say you've been missing out on one of the greatest productions ever on TV or the Big Screen.

So did you catch up or jump in at S4? That is always my thing with a show. I don't like being way behind the story lines. I think you miss too much about what would be obvious to the loyal followers. I should try it. It's got to be pretty good to be this long running and generate so much discussion.

What's funny about that is that I hate sci fi, fantasy, wizards, dragons and renaissance festival stuff, but love this show. What makes GOT so good is not about that stuff, it's the stuff that makes all drama good going back to Shakespeare: good vs. evil, alliances, injustice, greed, revenge, betrayal....

I have......never watched the show. (shameful exit from the room).

The dumb part is I know I would LOVE this show. I feel like I'm too late to the party to attend now.

I guess that's my point here. You are not alone.
If we both walk in late at the same time it will be less uncomfortable.

I just don't "relish" the idea of power watching 7 years worth at once.

The nice thing about starting now with season 1, you will never have to wait a week for the next show, or a year or more for the next season. I predict, if you start, you will be up late into the night watching. Love this show. My favorite since the Sopranos and / or Deadwood from HBO

I was a huge Deadwood fan. I rewatched all 3 seasons over Christmas break this year. It is great to be able to watch when you want. I liked Soprano's too but I did miss a season and never caught them up. Not into it now but was when it was on.
I'm going to try this show. Like I said still working on Black Sails. I also have another one suggested I want to try.  Last Kingdom. That is another historical period show I think I would like.

Is that on NetFlix too?  B)  Truth I'm too cheap even for NetFlix. I use Cinema HD or Showbox.
