Treadwell to the Pats?
Granted, we'd like get half of a Milky Way and a Bill Buckner Topps card, but....

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....
A trade for Mr Irrelevant (NEP's last pick) seems appropro.
And likely an upgrade, for us.
Then they will get a couple productive seasons out of him just to make us the fools. Yep it seems destined. Then they will trade him for something much more then a Milky Way right before he again loses focus. No getting around it. We blew another high draft pick on a WR not worth resigning after his rookie deal. That's become OUR destiny it seems...jeez.

"When I asked one longtime NFL personnel man last week what he would he would give the Steelers for Brown, he said maybe a sixth-round draft pick."
Do the Pats desire him for his unreliable hands, his poor concentration, bad route running, or high salary ($1.8M GUARANTEED in 2018)?
The only quality Treadwell has which reminds me of typical Patriots receivers is his inability to stretch the field.

Well... that's most likely due to his large contract, age, and the off-the-field stuff that has cropped up here recently. Add in that there is speculation that the Steelers may release him if they can't trade him... that probably explains why one NFL person would only give up "maybe a 6th round pick". Without that speculation and the off-the-field stuff, his trade value would be exponentially higher IMO.

Oh I know. Just thought it was funny. I've said all along that I thought Tready would draw more than people thought. And by that I mean SOMETHING. As you mention, so much goes into determining trade value. The irony is that "actual" production is often secondary to money, age, character...
This sounds like something Rick Spielman would leak to get us excited to keep him around... some reverse psychology, "nahuh if Belichick wants him he must be good" kind of nonsense...
No chance. The article comparing him to Gordon was laughable. Gordon actually was very productive before.
New England cuts players like Treadwell. They do not trade for them.

He isn't worth anything. He never lived up to his pre injury talent
I’m sure if Treadwell read this article he’d be happy. After all, the Pats turned Flash into a super bowl champion

Not sure why we let him go to begin with; man our talent in scouting the offensive line is just shit.
He will never make it in New England. How many drops did he have this year ? And Cousins continued to throw to him just to disappoint again. Brady and Belichick would not put up with this.
