Really intrigued by Terrill Hanks. No idea where he's expected to go, but he's a former safety and is supposed to be excellent in coverage. Could this be our Barr replacement?

He was getting some love on NFL network this morning...I'd like to give Wilson a long look before drafting a replacement for Barr...

Wilson has impressed me every time he played.

Notre Dame RB Dexter Williams was named the Reese's Senior Bowl running back of the Week. Williams (5'11/215) is joined by QB Jarrett Stidham, WR Deebo Samuel, TE Foster Moreau, and OL Garrett Bradbury as offensive position players awarded as players of the week. The Notre Dame alum continues to increase his draft stock since his early-season four-game suspension. During his breakout season, Williams averaged 6.3 yards on his 158 carries and showed explosion on his seven 20+ yard touchdowns. Given a sixth-round grade earlier, Williams appears to be making his way towards the Day 2/3 borderline.

USC T Chuma Edoga was named the Senior Bowl Practice Player of the Week. Edoga (6'4/295) was listed by The Athletic's Dane Brugler as a player who improved his stock during Wednesday's practice, so this new accolade isn't surprising. Limited by injuries (hyperextended knee) as a senior, Edoga seems to be back on the right track after a strong junior year. If he can test well as expected, Edoga may end up flying up draft boards.

Players from Notre Dame, USC, Alabama, Clemson, etc. are all going to be very good athletes and former great high school players. So even the lower on the radar guys/situational in college types have big upside because you never know when that maturity will pop athletically. Some guys take longer. Never a bad thing to take a stab at guys like that, IMO.

I think the Vikings could go OL in the first two rounds. Really wish Cajuste c'just adjust to the idea of attending the Senior Bowl. Like to know where he fits in with this group.

I think the value math at our slots looks better for OL this year than it did last year. Like to see a Bradbury and Edoga pairing, or a Jonah Williams / Edoga pairing. Or a Dillard and Risner pairing. Or Cajuste and Samia...

One thing I heard during the week is that there are a lot of OL prospects that will be available between 15-45...#Doubledown #DontmakedmecomeupthereRick

I agree. It's still WAY early, but it looks much different than last year's draft. Last year, after Kolton Miller went at 15 there wasn't another tackle taken until we took O'Neill at 62. Not a single tackle between 15 and 62. That's pretty nuts.

This is what it's looking like this year (just a guess at consensus based on various big boards and mocks).

5-15
Jonah Williams, G/T

Andre Dillard, T

Jawaan Taylor, T

16-20

Cody Ford, G/T

Dalton Risner, G/T/C

21-40

Garrett Bradbury, C

Yodny Cajuste, T

Greg Little, T

Chris LIndstrom, G

41-64

Chuma Edoga, T

Dru Samia, G

Tytus Howard, T

I could see Erik McCoy going ahead of Bradbury.

Bradbury really struggles with power, and needs time to get stronger.  I think he's Day 3 right now.  Great athlete, just not enough ballast.

A couple OL guys who might also crack the Top 50-60 are:

Dave Edwards LT -Wisconsin (6'-7" 319 lb) - former option qb and TE

and RT Kaleb McGary - Washington (6'-7" 321 lb)

At this point, nothing would surprise me. I could see McCoy going ahead of Bradbury, but Bradbury is such a uniquely talented zone blocker that a zone team needing a center will probably take him a little early.

Edwards and McGary are probably worth putting in that group. I know both have their believers... thought McGary looked solid in 1 on 1s at the Senior Bowl. Haven't seen Edwards yet...

On the way home I heard Tony Pauline say that he talked to an NFL team scout at the Senior Bowl who told him 90% chance Bradbury goes in the 1st round.

I know, Tony Pauline, so take it for what it's worth.

I don't know exactly what they look for at The Pivot.  That little guy who played for Chicago Olin something was successful as an undersized guy because he was cat quick and dived at guys legs a lot.  I never liked small centers, or the way he played.  But, it was obvious he was very good at his job.

Guys like Risner and Lindstrom are SO much more experienced and technical at this point than some of their colleagues and they look somewhat NFL Ready.  Are they really?  Yeah, Risner 'shut down' Montez Sweat, who is still pretty raw,  but, that's not the same as facing NFL edge rushers.

At this point they both look like late 1st round picks to me.  I think the run on Guards will repeat itself in the 2019 Draft.  Lindstrom in the 2nd sounds like good value to me.  I really like how steady and consistent he was.

The Wisconsin interior guys all appear to need at least a year.  Deiter is really average, and Benzshawel is a guard trapped in a tackle's body.
