School: Alabama | Year: JuniorWilliams is a solid offensive tackle prospect, but I believe he has All-Pro potential at guard. The Vikings need to address the O-line this offseason.
I won't talk about the production value, but this is a pretty good tape on him.
I would be very excited if he fell to 18 but that seems to be the exception with most of the draft experts who have him going much earlier.
That's a lot of edge rushers early....
I love this "The Raiders are in desperate need of a Pass Rusher"
JFC, then why trade Kalil Mack?
@"BarrNone55" said:That's interesting. That position uncertainty could drop him a ways. Sounds like his arms may not be long enough for tackle, but he's definitely lighter than you'd want for a guard. Reminds me of Forrest Lamp...Jonah Williams - T - Crimson TideDraft Analyst's Tony Pauline tweets that Alabama T Jonah Williams is getting second-round grades by scouts. Pauline has been pumping the brakes on top-10 talk for Williams (6'5/301) after speaking with numerous NFL scouts, and he's taken it a step further after speaking with scouts at Shrine practices. The reason why his stock is falling is due to debates whether he can play tackle or if he'll need to kick inside. Playing tackle has always been more valuable, and the NFL is reportedly 50/50 on if he can remain playing outside.Source: Tony Pauline on Twitter
Combine all be big for him...I'll have loafers on draft night...

In a scoring League you don't rebuild by meeting Mack's demand to be the highest paid Defensive player ever.
Maybe if you had a bona fide Franchise QB on a Rookie year with a solid O-Line and weapons.
Or if your previous GM hadn't tried to build more through FA than the Draft.
That former GM took the team from a complete joke to a playoff contender.

Do you rebuild by trading your best WR in a scoring league?
Didnt mean to derail from OP.
if I recall, that team looked prime for run for some time -- Carr broke his leg and they never recovered did they? Nice OL, Mack, Carr, Cooper...
Man, someone F'ed that thing up. Too bad for Bay fans, now they can root for a Vegas team.
That completely built via FA O-Line fell apart fast. Of all those high draft picks how many panned out? I just never bought the narrative that he was a good GM.
That doesn't mean that Chucky won't screw up the Picks. Shoot, its the Raiders. I sort of expect him to reach on at least two of them.

Remember, he's got Mayock running the scouts now. So out of all the actual scouts out there, they pick a media draft analyst. Mayock has said that Gruden will have the final say, but I honestly couldn't think of a worse situation.

I have a buddy who is a Raider fan. Been joking with him ever since they hired Chucky asking who they were gonna bring in next-- Tony Dungy for DC, Jimmy Johnson for OC, Mike Tirico for Special Teams, etc. Then they actually brought in Mayock for GM. Too funny
This would help a lot...
Daniel Jones - QB - Blue DevilsBleacher Report's Matt Miller mocks three quarterbacks to go in the top ten of his latest mock draft.
Miller just projects the top ten in his instagram post, but there are three quarterbacks who go: Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins to the Giants at six, Duke's Daniel Jones to the Jaguars at seven, and Missouri's Drew Lock to the Broncos with the 10th selection. On his latest podcast, Miller here's that scouts believe there should be four quarterbacks taken in the top 15, with Kyler Murray likely that fourth signal-caller. There's a ton of volatility in this class, but there are teams that need answers there, and that quantity/quality should match-up in quite a few going early in 2019.Source: Matt Miller on Instagram
@"BarrNone55" said: This would help a lot...So Kyler Murray tells baseball that if a team drafts him he will commit to baseball. A's draft him in the first round and give him $5M. He then declares for the NFL draft. I don't know how anyone can risk taking him in the first round. What's more, I hear all these comparisons to Brees and Wilson and Mayfield, but those guys are roughly 6 feet. There are rumors that Murray could be as short as 5-9. Top 15? I have a hard time believing that.Daniel Jones - QB - Blue DevilsBleacher Report's Matt Miller mocks three quarterbacks to go in the top ten of his latest mock draft. @"MaroonBells" said:I am betting if he gets more guaranteed from football on his rookie deal that is the direction he heads, but he will likely have to go pretty early in the draft to get more than 5 mill guaranteed. any word on if MLB is going to give the As any wiggle room on their rookie money to try and entice him to go baseball over football? the league restricts clubs when it comes to rookies so that is a handcuff of the As right now to sweeten it on their own.@"BarrNone55" said: This would help a lot...Daniel Jones - QB - Blue DevilsBleacher Report's Matt Miller mocks three quarterbacks to go in the top ten of his latest mock draft. @"MaroonBells" said:Well, in fairness, it was before he played a lot of college football right? He is going to have to give back most of the signing bonus as well. But after winning the Heisman it is hard to pass on a potential first round guaranteed contract which would be double his baseball signing bonus and he would hit free agency in 5 years. I believe the time for him to become an UFA in baseball is much longer. Plus, he has not shown as much in baseball as football. He has shown enough but at a Heisman level.@"BarrNone55" said: This would help a lot...Daniel Jones - QB - Blue DevilsBleacher Report's Matt Miller mocks three quarterbacks to go in the top ten of his latest mock draft. @"MarkSP18" said:I'm not criticizing him as much as I am the idea that he could be a 1st round draft pick. To me that's a HUGE risk on a guy who might just decide to play baseball. I suppose you could ask him for a commitment...like the A's did. Pfff. First round picks are gold in the NFL. And if you miss on one, especially a QB, it sets you back years. I can't imagine an NFL team taking that gamble...and it's two-fold. He'd be the smallest QB since...I'm thinking Doug Flutie?@"MaroonBells" said:Well, in fairness, it was before he played a lot of college football right?
