There is a QB who starts for the Seahawks who's also 5'11

Id be for drafting him hopeing that he plays football instead of baseball. I wonder if the threat of baseball would push him down the board to us?

He's extremely talented and fits in with what NFL QBs do today with the rules in their favor. He's very much like Russell Wilson. He's unique and can play in the NFL at that height because of his athleticism and aptitude. He's a 1st round talent with the upside, but have zero idea where he'd actually be selected.

JMO, but he's going to be a future star in the NFL if he chooses the league.

I don't know why he would choose football over baseball. I hate baseball. I love football. But the logical choice for your health and financial reasons is to choose baseball and it isn't even close. Clearly him considering football over baseball means he loves football more but it is still the wrong choice IMHO.

NFL success rate for heisman trophy winning QB's is not great...  We need OL a lot more than we need another QB. JMO.

Do QBs even get hit any more?

Murray has a $4.6 million guaranteed
signing bonus in hand that he will be fully paid as long as he reports
and plays baseball going forward (the contract specifically allowed him
to play for Oklahoma this fall). But in baseball, that $4.6 million is
the only significant payday he will receive for the next five to seven
seasons. Considering he has less at-bats under his belt than his peers,
he’s likely two to three seasons away from reaching the majors. And then
he would be another three seasons away from arbitration. So his first
big payday for baseball would likely not come until 2023 or 2024. His
first chance at free agency would likely come after the 2026 or 2027
seasons. At that point, Murray will be 29 or 30, which means he’s likely
to get one significant free-agent contract if he ends up being a very
productive regular.

In football, Murray is consistently projected as a first-round pick. His
college teammate Baker Mayfield landed a $21.8 million signing bonus
and over $32 million in guaranteed money by being the No. 1 pick in last
year’s draft (all contract information here has been gathered from
Spotrac.com). And if he plays reasonably well, Mayfield will get a big
payday as a free agent after the 2022 season. Even if he signed a
five-year extension, Mayfield would hit free agency again in 2028 for a
second big payday.

The assumption is that he will be a really good baseball player and get a huge contract at age 29 or thereabouts depending on how fast he makes the major league.
So the 4.6 mil does not compare to a first round NFL deal unless it is a late first.  But even Lamar Jackson got a 7.5 mil deal with about 7.5 guaranteed.
Minkah Fitzpatrick got a 16.447 mil deal with all of it guaranteed and he was picked #11.
Next year the Bengals pick #11 and they could very easily want to move on from Andy Dalton.
Now, from an injury standpoint he has a better chance with baseball obviously.
I think with his skill and talent level he has a good chance to get a 2nd contract in the NFL.
I would LOVE to see the Vikings take him with that first pick!
Then, maybe they can trade Cousins next off season and save 30 mil in cap space.  Cousins would have to agree but after they draft a QB in the first round he might be willing.
