Potential Replacement For Murray?
Elijah Holyfield - RB - BulldogsGeorgia junior RB Elijah Holyfield declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Holyfield (5'11/215) is a gifted athlete who will enter the NFL with not a lot of mileage on his body. In his three-year career at Georgia, Holyfield averaged 6.2 yards on only 215 carries. Most of that volume came this season when he posted a 159-1,018-7 rushing line (6.4 YPC). Only used as a pure runner at Georgia, Holyfield is likely destined for a run-first role in the NFL, but let's see what the former four-star recruit can do at the NFL Combine first.Source: Elijah Holyfield on Twitter
Most likely Boone grabs the role, but son of the Champ might be worth an early Day 3 or compensatory pick...
I kind of like TJ Yeldon who will be a free agent.
Maybe they can get him for 2 to 3 mil?
With all of Fournette's guarantees voided, maybe Yeldon stays put?
Holyfield is a damn good back but Trayveon Williams might be my pick.

Perhaps removing some guarantees from Fournette will light a fire under his butt? They don't save any cap space if they cut or trade Fournette prior to June 1st and actually take a 1.538 mil dead money cap hit.

I like Dexter Williams but I think he's a day-two guy, especially if he runs under 4.5, and he probably will. The back I'm thinking about is Qadree Ollison from Pitt. Definitely a later round guy. Former fullback, knows how to block. A big, Lat Murray, James Conner type. Should be playing in the Shrine game.
Not sure a bruiser helps this Offense as much as a shifty RB that can line up at any spot like a WR to put more pressure on Defenses
Cook was not asked to catch the ball much in College so it will take time for him to learn the whole route tree. I haven't seen anything from the backups to suggest they can fill that role and I think not having a McKinnon-type Back really hurt the Offense this year.

If that's who you want, I'll put in a good word for Ty Johnson, a late round or post-draft guy who could be the next Phillip Lindsay. A good day-two guy would be Miles Gaskin, who looks a bit like Alvin Kamara.
Not sure what type the Vikings will be looking for since we don't even know who the OC will be, or what the team thinks of Boone and Roc.

One of the hardest runners I've seen in the pros is Chris Carson. Considering the Hawks invested a 1st rounder in Penny, he might be available via trade. Mike Boone is a hard runner, too.
