Not to be Flip (ant) but what the hell has Lewis ever done to deserve a job as a defensive coordinator? He perpetually employs trash players like Burfict and has made a long living on mediocre seasons.
i think Z could use the help especially on gameday. Lewis knows D and would be solid but unthreatening support. They have trust and familiarity
I think Gase will have his choice of OC options with all of the Head Coaching vacancies. It will be tough to lure anyone decent to Minnesota when Zimmer and Spielman are going into the lame duck year of their contracts. Stefanski makes the most sense. Give him a full offseason and let him pick his OLine coach. That's assuming he doesn't spurn Zimmer and the Vikings for blocking his departure last year when Shurmur wanted him as his OC.
We did Stefanski a solid by blocking him from going to NY. Awful situation.
