Cap To Jump $10-14 Million
Roger Goodell - C - Free AgentThe NFL informed clubs that projections for the 2019 salary cap are between $187 million and $191.1 million.
The current salary cap is set at $177.2 million, so it's another sizable, yet expected, jump. Over the last five seasons, the cap has increased by 40% -- it was $133.0 million in 2014 -- and the cap has now climbed more than $10 million six years in a row. Despite the numerous PR battles, the business of the NFL continues to grow.Source: Brian McCarthy on Twitter
The NFL makes stupid $$$$$. Ratings are up this year. The Vikings are underachieving and disappointing. And the beat goes on.

@"purpleloki" said:I read that the rating for the MNF game with Minnesota-Seattle was one of the lowest TV ratings in years: nobody wants to watch a 3-0 game heading into the 4th.@"StickyBun" said: The NFL makes stupid $$$$$. Cap-up is good. Still going to be some surprise Vikings taking haircuts or shown the curb next year. I can feel it coming...

My point is that they need to prove themselves on the field in order to get the monkey off their backs in regard to prime time.@"Vikergirl" said:more like be punished with those slots.@"StickyBun" said: The Vikings won't sniff a prime time game in next year's schedule. @"JimmyinSD" said:It's all in how you look at it. It's another way to showcase the talent also it usually means that the team is going to the next level. They have to get to a point where they show up for the big games. Yeah the change of schedule sucks but it's part of the deal. If you have something worth bringing to prime time, you get scheduled for it. We have the weapons, it's time for them to shine.@"Vikergirl" said:i dont see how its a reward even when they are winning.@"JimmyinSD" said:As it stands right now it's a punishment. @"Vikergirl" said:as a fan, I will take a season full of sunday noon games, consistent preparation, and homefield advantage over a bunch of stupid primetime games that the league is more apt to mess with to ensure a favorable outcome for the national fans or the en vogue teams. I dont know how it works out, but we seem to get jobbed by the refs in more primetime games than we do a regular noon game... maybe its just me, but the bigger the stage the worse the refs hate the Vikings.@"JimmyinSD" said:It's all in how you look at it. @"JimmyinSD" said:I love the noon games but again there will come a time when they have to show up for primetime. The Vikings are always going to have to overcome the refs. That's a given regardless of when they play. If we can get the offense consistent, they might benefit from calls because of Diggs and Thielen at some point.@"Vikergirl" said:as a fan, I will take a season full of sunday noon games, consistent preparation, and homefield advantage over a bunch of stupid primetime games that the league is more apt to mess with to ensure a favorable outcome for the national fans or the en vogue teams.
