Richardson: 'I love this organization'
Like many things about this season, Richardson's play has been great at times - but lacked consistency.
He can show how much he loves the Vikings when contract negotiations start. I think he will love the team that pays the most.
I think I would love his potential contract being spent on offense.
Overall I am underwhelmed by Richardson, and in the camp of putting cap space into the offense, but a couple things might make me want to sign him:
- Obviously, a reasonable deal. If he wants to compete with Aaron Donald, end of the story.
- Players improve greatly their 2nd year in Zimmer's defense.
- Losing Richardson would probably be used to justify another 1st round pick for defense.

This offense can only be so good with their current offensive line. Period. If the team doesn't try and change what they can in that unit in the offseason, then expect more of the same inconsistent crap and mediocre year.

The only hold overs would be Reiff, Elf, O'Neil Easton ,Collins, and maybe Isidora and Hill. There was another 1 or 2 rookies they were fond of that I can't remember their names but as far as counting on guys to be in the mix those first 5 would be all I would count on. Honestly we should be looking to add a couple through FA and a couple more through the early rounds of the draft IMO.
I hope after this season Compton and Remmers are just bad dreams from the past. I can see the point of re-signing Easton but I would expect him to have a slow start out of the gate just like Elflein. I want us to draft O-line but I would really love to see us get the best guard they can in free agency, someone who will start immediately and hopefully be a massive upgrade over Remmers.
It's all well and good to talk about signing FAs. But whom? I'm seeing guys older than Remmers and a bunch of no-names at Guard.

LT- Reiff (Collins)
LG - Saffold (Isidora)
C - Elflein (Easton, Edison)
RG - Easton (2nd rounder)
RT - O'Neill (3rd rounder)
...and a new OL coach.
I don't love Remmers either, but he was average/adequate last year at RT, so he's got some versatility and might be worth keeping as a backup. Would you keep him if they can renegotiate his remaining deal down to something like 2 years, $5M total?

They put in 2 OL interim coaches after Tony passed right?Yah, I think Zimmer is going to probably make a change there in 19.

Yep and I think it was a good move in the short term for stability purposes. It will be interesting to see where they go from there next year.
